Since fall 2018 Audittrail Group has been working on expanding its business into the USA. In order to solidify their oversea endeavors, the team felt a physical presence was important. For the past year Audittrail Group has set up office at the bwtech@UMBC CyberHive. This is an incubator program for cyber startups located at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Country.
Jorrit van de Walle, CEO, is very happy to share that Audittrail has renewed its lease contract for the coming year: “By renewing the lease we reiterate our ambition to expand Audittrail’s business to the US to help customers and the (to be built) Alliance community with (cyber)security, privacy (GDPR), quality management, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions. We see Maryland as an ideal state to host our US headquarters.” “Maryland invests in start-up organizations and stimulates the security and privacy community. Also, the collaboration with the bwtech@UMBC team has been very satisfactory. We look forward to working together next year and working towards achieving our goals”, Jorrit concludes. From its central office in The Netherlands, Audittrail representatives have been travelling back and forth to Baltimore for the past year. In 2020 Audittrail hopes to establish a more consistent presence in the US. They aim to do this by developing a team of local representatives in the Baltimore and DC area. They will start recruiting for this early 2020.
